We recommend using a plastic primer first. Our 16-817 or 20-1671 would work.

Question
Paul Williams –
Will this adhere to powder-coated aluminum and how many colors do you provide?
Upvote if this was helpful (0) Downvote if this was not helpful (0) Flag for removal
Answer
Seymour Paint –
Yes, it will adhere to powder coats. You may want to lightly scuff with 600 grit sandpaper to improve adhesion. Besides bronze, we also offer cast iron gray (CA16-48) and cast aluminum (CA16-55). Sorry for the delay response.

Question
Roger miller –
I have a aluminum structured solarium. It would take about 18 cans of your paint to repaint it before new glass is installed. Two questions, can I get this in a satin black? And if I buy this much can you sell to me at a discount? Thank you, Roger

This doesn’t seem to bond to bare lightly sanded aluminum that well. Is there a primer that would increase the adhesion?
