Question
Scott tefft –
Can this be painted after it dries
(0) (0)
Answer
Seymour Paint –
Yes, but you would need a paint that is flexible, one that would expand and contract in the same way as the truck bed coating. An oil-based acrylic/vinyl type paint should work. Otherwise, you run the risk of cracking and peeling. Also, be sure let the truck bed coating fully cure before top coating.

Question
Aaron Post –
When doing touch up what do I need to do to prep the existing surface besides just cleaning it?
(0) (0)
Answer
Seymour Paint –
Assuming the surface is free of rust a simple cleaning is all that is necessary. If there any spots that are glossy, they should be scuffed up to improve adhesion. If you have further questions, please contact our technical department at 815-895-9101.

Question
Douglas Deutsch –
How many cans would I need to do a 6.5′ bed?
(0) (0)
Answer
Seymour Paint –
One can covers between 10-15 square feet. I would suggest 4-6 cans for the entire truck bed to be safe!
Please make sure to calculate the area of your truck bed.
Example:
Assume a truck bed measures 48 inches in width by 96 inches in length.
We would calculate: 48 x 96 = 4,608.
We would then calculate: 4,608 ÷ 144 = 32, so our truck bed has an area of 32 square feet.
