Would this work on a cast iron, ceramic coated sink? I intend to lightly sand the sink without removing the ceramic first. If so, would a primer be necessary, or just helpful?

Answer

Yes, it would work (no primer necessary if youâre scuffing the ceramic coating). That said, this paint wonât be as hard and scratch resistant as a 2 component epoxy or urethane but those are rather expensive. Kind of a tradeoff you could say.

Question
Robert baker –
Do you have a clear coat to apply over paint ?
(0) (0)
Answer
Seymour Paint –
The 620-1436 should not need a clear coat. The 620-1436 is an enamel spray paint. If you would like to clear coat the 620-1436, would recommend the EN-70 which is also an enamel. Please be very careful in applying the clear coat make sure that you have allowed several days for curing before clear coating so the 620-1436 does not wrinkle. Again, you should not have to clear coat the 620-1436.

Yes, with the right primer. Would scuff the stock with 400 grit sandpaper and then apply the PBE sandable primer (#20-1671). For the topcoat, apply 2-3 coats in succession about 15 minutes apart and then leave it for a few days to fully cure.
