Rust Converter and primer can be applied to any iron or steel surface to penetrate rust and turn it into a protective black coating. This protective coating will be resistant to moisture and prevents future rust growth. Just remove any loose rust, then apply it like a primer to rusted surfaces. Greatly reduces time spent wire brushing and sanding. Durable and tough, it can be left as is, but is also compatible with most top coats.

CUSTOMER QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

  1. Question

    Krelborn

Hello, I have a cart full of a modest amount of your spray paint, I’m waiting for replies to some questions before cashing out. I see you have a space to enter a coupon code, all of the codes I was given by the coupon code gods, as usual do not work… What does one need to do to get a valid Coupon Code? Also an odd request, I left a review on the BW16-45 a short while ago without logging in, I was wondering if there is a way to incorporate the review with my account?
    Best Regards,
    Jeff

We would recommend using our Hot Spot 1200F heat resistant paint instead.

  1. TRIED THE OTHERS? USE THE REAL STUFF, SEYMOUR 16-45

    Jeffrey Slocum

I’ve used other “rust converter” products, with less than acceptable results. I used SEYMOUR Technical Sprays RUST CONVERTER 16-45 and it actually does what the other brands say their product will do! Unfortunately I was in the process of restoring an old cast iron scale and was just not satisfied with the rust removal process so I decided to once again try a rust converter product, I even told my dad, “worse case scenario it has to be better than the 85 years of rust that was on it”. I was sure I had a can of converter, nope, but in the very back of the cabinet sat two cans of SEYMOUR Rust Converter… Why not. Well now I’ve ordered two more cans as this stuff actually does what the other brands claim to do and more! While spraying I could see the conversion taking place, bubbling which at first concerned me thinking of the type of finish that it would leave, but it left a fantastic finish, in this case ready for a top-coat of semi-gloss enamel.
    Excellent product!
    Thank You!
