Seymour MRO Aluminum High Solids Industrial-Grade Coating Spray Paint Product Details
When it comes to aerosol paint—Seymour doesn’t mess around. Our MRO Aluminum High Solids Industrial-Grade Coating Spray Paint is engineered to outperform conventional hardware store spray paint in every way.
MRO—Maintenance, Repair & Operation—is a category of essential products used to keep industrial facilities, equipment, and systems running smoothly. Seymour MRO protective coatings are made for heavy-duty tasks, where high performance and long-term protection are imperative.
Our industrial-grade spray paint is built to deliver where it counts. It covers up to 18 square feet per can (4 times the output of a conventional spray can!) with a thick, even coat that won’t run or sag. Once cured, it forms a tough, impact-resistant protective coating that holds strong against abrasion, chemicals, oil, gas, heat, and UV exposure.
Easily applied to bare metal, MRO Industrial-Grade High Solids Spray Paint performs even better when paired with our MRO Light Gray or Red Iron Oxide Primers.
No matter the project, Seymour MRO delivers a professional-grade finish that’s Trusted By Pros. Made for Everyone.
Designed for Maintenance, Repair & Operation
We built MRO for the folks who keep the world running—plant crews, marine techs, industrial mechanics, construction teams, and serious DIYers. As such, we’re confident our industrial-grade protective spray paint delivers long-term performance under pressure.
Once cured, MRO forms a rugged protective coating that holds up against abrasion, gas, oil, harsh chemicals, and UV exposure. It’s the smart, straightforward solution for every job where durability matters, and regular hardware store spray paint just won’t cut it.
Lasting Durability Conventional Spray Paint Can’t Touch!
Seymour MRO high solids spray paint doesn’t rush the process—and that’s a good thing! Our durable protective coating spray paint takes 2–3 days to fully cure because it forms a hard, impact-resistant shell that simply outlasts anything you’ll find on the store shelf.
MRO Industrial-Grade High Solids Spray Paint can take as good as it gives. When it comes to strength and durability, it’s about as close to powder coating as you’re going to get—in a convenient aerosol can. That means you get industrial-level protection without the need for specialized equipment or a trip to the paint booth.
If you need a product that defends against everything from weather and wear to workplace abuse—MRO commercial-grade coating spray paint is it. Use it with confidence that it’ll hold strong long after standard paints have started peeling and flaking.
More Coverage, Superior Performance
Thanks to our high solids formula, Seymour MRO Aluminum industrial-grade spray paint gives you twice the coverage and cuts down on time, effort, and waste. One can covers up to 18 square feet with rich, even color—that’s four times the value of a standard aerosol spray paint. You get a truly professional-grade finish that looks fantastic and performs even better!
Available in Aluminum and a wide range of OSHA-compliant colors, our MRO protective coating spray paint is perfect for the job site, the shop, or around the house.

Thanks.

Marty –
I have a car trailer that was powder coated black but no primer to begin with. The paint is starting to flake off in big pieces and also spots of rust forming. Do I need to prime it before I spray your paint on my trailer? Can I paint over original powder coat without sanding it?
Upvote if this was helpful (0) Downvote if this was not helpful (0) Flag for removal
Answer
Seymour Paint –
If the powder coating is chipping away, it is recommended that all the paint should be sanded away, as coating over it will not improve its adhesion to the metal. For the rust, you can either use Seymourâs rust converter SKU:16-45 or sand the areas away until bare metal is exposed. We would also recommend using a self-etching primer in either gray (SKU:20-1681) or black (SKU:20-1682) on all surfaces. Once this coating is dry, you can then apply the paint you want.
