Seymour Duramix™ Rigid Urethane Foam Product Details

Seymour Duramix™ Rigid Urethane Foam is a 2K rigid expanding foam cartridge for automotive collision repair. It’s designed to fill pillars, posts, and box sections to help prevent panel flutter, provide rigidity, and replicate or replace OEM rigid foam used in vehicle body cavities. It can also be used for sound-dampening applications.

Our automotive rigid urethane foam is made with a shrink-resistant formula. It expands up to 10 times its original volume, doesn’t retain moisture, and adheres to common substrates including metal, aluminum, OEM e-coat, SMC, FRP, fiberglass, and painted or primed surfaces.

Rigid Foam Replacement for Pillars, Posts & Box Sections

When OEM rigid foam has been removed or damaged, Duramix™ Rigid Urethane Foam gives you an easy, efficient, and dependable way to refill pillars, posts, box sections, and other automotive body cavities.

The shrink-resistant foam expands quickly, filling hard-to-reach enclosed areas, and cures fast. With a working time of 10 to 25 seconds, handling time of 3 to 4 minutes, and full cure time of 30 to 45 minutes, our expanding foam is designed to work quickly without skimping on consistency and performance.

For optimal results and alignment with OEM repair procedures, prime bare metal and aluminum with a 2K epoxy primer before applying the foam.

Application Notes

• For professional use only.
• DO NOT use a pneumatic gun with Duramix™ Rigid Urethane Foam. Use the recommended manual applicator gun only.
• When applying overhead or on a vertical surface, dispense slowly and allow the foam to thicken as it’s being applied.
• Excess cured material can be cut away with a razor blade.
• Remove the static mixer immediately after use and replace the original cap. Do not leave the static mixer on the cartridge.
