Seymour 2K Protective Coating Spray-On Kit Product Details
The Seymour 2K Protective Coating Spray-On Kit utilizes a proprietary two-component hybrid-polymer system that combines polyurethane resins for long-term durability with polyurea resins that add superior strength and flexibility. The result is a tensile, impact-resistant coating that stands up to daily loading, hauling, and hard use, while keeping cargo in place.
Designed for use with the Seymour Schutz Spray Gun, our 2K Protective Coating Spray is applied using an easy shake-and-shoot method. It dries to a rugged, extremely grippy coating that helps protect your truck bed and cargo from damage and slipping. With the ability to build thickness with multiple coats, you can dial in the level of protection you want and achieve a clean, professional finish, all without the need for complicated equipment.
With our 2K Protective Coating Spray-On Kit, you get a Tougher. Stronger. Superior. finish with ease and less mess. Trust Seymour to blend premium performance and ultimate convenience.
Advanced Hybrid-Polymer Technology for Tough, Flexible Protection
Seymour 2K Protective Coating uses advanced hybrid-polymer technology to deliver tougher, stronger, more flexible protection for your truck bed and cargo. The polyurethane/polyurea blend forms a practically indestructible finish that resists impact, marring, and abrasion while flexing with the surface to help prevent cracking on properly prepared substrates. Once cured, the UV-stable coating maintains its performance and appearance under the sun, weather, and constant use.
Truck beds, tailgates, and more can handle heavy cargo, tools, and daily punishment longer. It looks tough, acts tough, and helps protect your truck and cargo from harsh conditions, heavy use, and slipping.
Textured Non-Slip Spray Coating for Truck Beds
Have we said tough? This high-performance spray-on truck bed liner is more than tough. It’s also designed for grip.
Our 2K Protective Coating Spray dries to a rugged, textured, non-slip surface with an extremely grippy feel that helps keep cargo in place in the bed. The texture adds traction underfoot and reduces the tendency for boxes, tools, and equipment to slide around during transport. Get a consistent, professional finish with the kind of “perfect texture” you’d expect from a premium spray-on bed liner.
Easy Shake & Shoot Application!
Seymour 2K Protective Coating Spray-On Kit features a simple shake-and-shoot application so you get professionally installed performance without the complicated setup. Simply mix in the bottle, connect to air, and spray.
Basic process:
- Shake the components thoroughly before mixing
- Attach the bottle to the Seymour Schutz Spray Gun
- Spray multiple coats to build coverage & texture
At 68 °F (20 °C), the spray-on liner is typically dry to the touch in about 3 hours, ready for light use after 24 hours, and ready for full use after 72 hours. The shake-and-shoot design helps cut down on setup time and mess while still giving you a consistent, professional finish.
*This application overview is for general guidance only. Always review and follow the full Application Guide, Product Information Sheet, and Safety Data Sheet for complete preparation, mixing, application, and safety instructions.
Customizable Thickness with Superior Mar & Impact Resistance
Our 2K Protective Spray-On Coating with advanced hybrid-polymer technology allows you to apply multiple coats to achieve the level of protection the job demands, while maintaining flexibility and adhesion when used as directed. With Seymour, you get maximum performance without compromise and without the stress and mess.
A minimum of two coverage coats, followed by a texture coat, creates a durable protective film for everyday use in most truck beds. When additional durability or impact resistance is required, extra coats can be applied within the recommended recoat window to build thickness.

I have a truck bed that had Rhino line bed liner applied. It’s starting to fade and lift. Can I clean and reapply your product on top of the old bed line
Upvote if this was helpful (0) Downvote if this was not helpful (0) Flag for removal
Answer
Seymour Paint –
Thanks for reaching out and for your interest in our 2K Protective Coating Spray-On Kit!
While our product can technically be applied over an existing bed liner like Rhino Lining, we want to be transparent â we cannot guarantee adhesion if applied over another coating. Our 2K Protective Coating will only bond as well as the surface beneath it. If the existing Rhino liner is lifting or compromised in any way, it could cause the new coating to fail prematurely.
For best and most durable results, we strongly recommend removing the Rhino liner completely and prepping the bare truck bed before applying our product. If thatâs not possible, youâll need to:
1. Remove all loose or peeling material â Sand, scrape, or wire brush off any areas that arenât fully bonded.
2. Thoroughly scuff the remaining surface â The goal is to create a rough, uniform surface to help promote adhesion.
3. Clean the entire area â Use a water-based cleaner like soapy water and follow up with a 70% isopropyl alcohol to remove/eliminate contaminants.
4. Follow the kit instructions carefully â Proper mixing, spray distance, and curing are all critical.
We appreciate your understanding â surface prep is everything when it comes to getting a long-lasting finish. Let us know if you have any other questions or if youâd like help evaluating your specific project.
