A powerful chemical formula that protects the gel coat and a variety of painted surfaces against weathering by adding a slick high gloss finish. The fast spray on and wipe off application removes hard water spots while polishing without removing wax. It is not a wax and is not suitable for silicone sensitive gel coat finishes.

I bought this to paint a guitar body but it is still tacky after more than 3 weeks. I prepped it properly with white lacquer primer and sprayed 4 light coats. What could the problem be?

If your guitar body is plastic, the solvents in the paint may be leeching the plasticizers out. Otherwise, if the drying conditions are hot/humid, getting the body into air conditioning will help accelerate the curing process.

I’ve used other “rust converter” products, with less than acceptable results. I used SEYMOUR Technical Sprays RUST CONVERTER 16-45 and it actually does what the other brands say their product will do! Unfortunately I was in the process of restoring an old cast iron scale and was just not satisfied with the rust removal process so I decided to once again try a rust converter product, I even told my dad, “worse case scenario it has to be better than the 85 years of rust that was on it”. I was sure I had a can of converter, nope, but in the very back of the cabinet sat two cans of SEYMOUR Rust Converter… Why not. Well now I’ve ordered two more cans as this stuff actually does what the other brands claim to do and more! While spraying I could see the conversion taking place, bubbling which at first concerned me thinking of the type of finish that it would leave, but it left a fantastic finish, in this case ready for a top-coat of semi-gloss enamel.

Bought your Cast Blast paint off Amazon and painted my new brake cylinder, after cleaning and degreasing and letting it dry it thoroughly, and the paint is still tacky 2 days later? the cardboard, and tape is still tacky too. How long should this take. You were highly recommended by my Jeep Forum and H.A.M.B forums both for painting cast metal parts.

In the summer months heat and humidity will slow the cure time. Our tech guy had good luck bringing the object inside with the air conditioning on and it dried rather quickly.
