Question
Anthony Thompson –
Can this product be clear coated without color change or fade?
Upvote if this was helpful (0) Downvote if this was not helpful (0) Flag for removal
Answer
Seymour Paint –
Because 16-41 is a leafing pigment, itâs very difficult to clear over it without changing the appearance. Iâd probably use the 16-1034 chrome with the 16-121 clear over it if youâre looking for the most chrome-like look you can find in spray paint.

Question
Terilyn –
Can this cover brass hardware? Does it come off on your hands ?
Upvote if this was helpful (0) Downvote if this was not helpful (0) Flag for removal
Answer
Seymour Paint –
Yes, it would cover brass. While it wonât rub off, thereâs a good chance it will burnish with a lot of handling. 16-1034 chrome would be the better choice as it does not burnish.

Bob Cibelli –
Can you use this paint over car paint, l want to paint my rims
Upvote if this was helpful (0) Downvote if this was not helpful (0) Flag for removal
Answer

Yes. The key is to sand the rims to improve adhesion. Iâd clear over the chrome brite with 16-121 acrylic clear (a light mist coat followed by multiple coats in succession).
