The quiet seal will do well to protect against rust. Personally, Iâve been using our Tool crib open gear lubeâitâs a sticky black grease that resists corrosion very well. I like it more than a coating because a coating can get chipped and then the rust creeps under the coating. This doesnât happen with a grease.

I am in the process of under coating some top show cars and I do not want the heavy ripple look what some thing that is almost a dull finish with just a small amount of rippling. I’ve had some from your company that was excellent but I forget which one it was.

Can this be applied to rusty surfaces?

Yes, but it wouldnât stop rust creepage over time. Would recommend our rust converting primer (#16-45) first—it coverts surface (not flaking) rust. Would make for a more durable coating system.

Yes, itâs just easier to cover over the spot. The undercoating is asphalt based and will work well.

I have a new aluminum fuel tank for a boat. A lot of people use coal tar epoxy to paint aluminum tanks. Would this be a good alternative? Thank you.

No, because it would not withstand continuous immersion in water.
