Trim paint is formulated using an acrylic resin that resists fading from ultraviolet light and degradation from chemicals. Spray like a professional without the equipment, prep time, cleanup, or waste. Several light coats produce a better finish than one heavy coat. A heavy coat applied over an enamel may cause lifting. Bare surfaces or rusted metal surfaces should first be primed with the PBE sandable primers. Large spray head gives a professional looking application. Heat resistant up to 250˚F. Comes in a can, sprays like a gun.
  • Ideal for body panels, engine parts, metal structures, aviation parts, heavy machinery and more.
  • Dry times: (5 minutes to touch), (15 minutes to topcoat)

  1. Question

    Frank Tetro Jr

I used this product on my 86 corvettes engine bay and firewall and it dried tacky. So much dust and pollen is stuck to it. Is there anything I can do to remedy this. What would make the finish stay sticky? By the way, the product laid out beautifully. It looked so beautiful. At first…

Seymour’s 20-1679 is an acrylic lacquer and should have dried without any tackiness unless the engine bay was not properly cleaned first.

Just a wipe down with a fast-evaporating solvent such as nail polish remover to remove any grease or contamination.

  3. Question

    Jeannie Meagher

I’m going to use it on wrought iron patio furniture. Should I prepare the furniture first? It’s no gooped up with paint, but has a little rust. For 48″ table, 4 barrel chairs & 2 chaise lounges, how many cans do I need, please? Thx!

    • Answer

Would hit the rusty spots with our rust converting primer (#16-45) first and wire brush any loose/peeling paint to ensure good adhesion. 5 cans of the PBE should be enough for that furniture.
